On June 30th,junior paleontologist met at animal adventures,for our fist Dino dig.The young dinosaur enthusiast began there day with a forty -five minute presentation of dinosaur fossils and live animals.They then made there way outside to the Dino dig area where they uncovered T-rex teeth, giant dinosaur eggs, mammoth teeth,triceratops teeth and the leg bone of a saltosaurus all had time. Each participant went home with a velociraptor claw.

June 20th, Dan Gavin led our nocturnal night #2 Another successful night of feeding gators and giant snakes.Dan who is now 18 has been with animal adventures since he was10 and joined our first ever summer camp,Dan was the youngest person to free hand catch an alligator from an animal adventure pond.Dan now at just 18 years of age is head curator of reptiles, as he waits to go to college in august.Dan plans on becoming an exotic animal veterinarian.

Recently, Animal Adventures acquired a baby red fox and a baby woodchuck.Both animals are very friendly and are having fun interacting with our kids and the family dogs,look for the video to be posted soon called the fox and the hound,featuring our hound dog Daisy and and Isaac the fox.Public safety announcement foxes seem to be attracted to bell bottomed pink pajamas, just ask my 10 year old daughter Jackie she has lost two pairs of pajama pants to Isaac the fox so far.

Ed and Jack Laquidara attended the first American Zoological Association (AZA) School on Crocodilian Biology and Captive Management. In attendance were some of the world’s most prestigious zoo curators, top scientists, biologists, professors, and veterinarians. It was an honor for both Ed and Jack, as only twenty people from around the world were chosen to participate. Both received certificates after completing this extensive week-long course. Nocturnal Night
A rare opportunity to see our nocturnal animals at their most active.
Join us April 25th for a special nocturnal tour of the center. Come see our night-dwellers out and see the night time activities of a working zoo including large snake and alligator feedings.
The doors will open at 7:30 and a guided tour of the center will fill you in on the many sights and sounds of the Animal Adventures center at night. Guests are welcome to explore the center until 9:00 pm. During this time there will be an alligator feeding and a snake feeding as well as opportunities to get up close and hands-on with some of our cuddlier night-dwellers.
Space is limited, and reservations are recommended.
Admission : $15 per guest
